My experience with MSFS is pretty good regarding to crashing to desktop, CTD is very rare for me.
Expect when I try to fly the Citation Longitude, I have yet to finish a flight in this plane. Seems to crash around 35-40 minutes into a flight, every time, usually during an ATC traffic, also could be connected to the autothrottle. I tried back to back, same flight (KSAN to KSFO, IFR, high altitude airways FP), crashed back to back after about 40 minutes or so into the flights.
Then I tried the same flight plan with the CJ4 and completed the flight with no issues.
I flew plenty of longer duration flights, with other planes, with zero CTDs.
No mods installed, not in dev mode, msfs is up to date. I’m fairly certain that this issue is plane specific.
Is anyone else having crash issues with the Longitude? Any tips how to avoid it (certain system causing, etc.)? I really like flying the Longitude, but I can’t 
Get Dakfly’s Longitude mod (Asobo Cessna Citation Longitude Flight Dynamics Modifications Project Version 1.84). If that still fails, if you have your settings on Ultra (or near) try dropping them down a bit. On my old PC, I tried Ultra but ultimately couldn’t get it to work consistently. I too suffered from CTDs after a half hour or 45 minutes of flight.
I know some people don’t like loading mods, and I agree that we shouldn’t have to do it. But you have a pretty simple choice – either you want to fly the Longitude without a CTD, or you want to wait for Asobo to fix it.
Disclaimer: Yes, I know there are many of you out there who are flying Asobo’s stock Longitude without CTDs, but this person isn’t one of them.
I doubt it is the PC settings, since I flew much longer flights with other planes with no CTDs whatsoever (I also did complete the full flight with the same flight plan with the CJ4). Right now I’m flying the Longitude from KSAN to PHTO (San Diego to Hawaii), 4 hours in and no CTD, but the flight plan is more simple and the flight is over the ocean, and way less ATC traffic. I did change the speed and altitude with the AP bunch of times to make the plane work for it, but it handled it well, so far.
I guess I need to fly over dryland more to see if the CTD is related to the plane or it is something else.
Anyway, I’ll try the mod for the Longitude. Thanks for the tip.
Quick update, this CTD is weird.
I completed a real time flight from KSAN to PHTO with the Longitude (5 and a half hour total flight time, with low ceiling at PHTO, and two missed approaches, meaning lot of ATC traffic and AP changes).
Then I attempted to fly the KSAN to KSFO IFR high alt. flight plan and CTD again. After that I installed the DestructZero915 suggested flight mod, same FP, and the plane did not CTD, it just froze right around the same time 
when it would have CTD…
Then I flew the same FP with the Cessna CJ4 and completed the flight, no crash.
And just now I completed a flight with the Longitude, from KSAN to KLAS, IFR, high alt. real weather. One missed approach, so a lot of ATC traffic again, and a lot of fiddling with the AP, no CTD…
In summary my Cessna Longitude CTD, when I’m flying from KSAN to KSFO, IFR, high alt. airways. I’ll try to find more routes that causes this crash.

Just had CTD with this plane on approach to KMSP. Happened during changing of approach, so I think it’s related to that. Really frustrating to have this happen at the end of flight. I seldom see CTD issues with MSFS and I have a very high-end system.
I’ve got a similar issue with the Longitude as well.
Tried to create a flight plan from CYYZ to KEKM 310NM and I’ve selected SID and Approach. High ALT IFR plan w/ vanilla aircraft.
The sim won’t load into the game. It’ll CTD during loading into the world.
Then I tried another departure airport and it’s the same issue.
Then I tried safemode and created a flight plan without any SID STAR or approach and this time it loaded into the sim.
I fired up the Citation Longitude yesterday for the first time in my year of owning the game. I had a PLN from KSFO to KLAX and 4-5 times it would CTD anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes in. I tried playing with and without addons and couldn’t complete the flight. The last attempt was about 2 minutes from when I would have activated the approach. Incredibly disappointing. I’ll keep plugging away at it but I might end up just flipping over to the CJ4. I’ll reply here if I end up finding a resolution to it.
I also find the Citation unstable in a software sense. After recently upgrading to the Premium deluxe I’ve been disappointed that trying to fly this plane results in blank avionics screens or ctds and after the one short flight I could complete it left the sim in a unstable state where the next flight in a different aircraft ctd’d. This is the only aircraft I have that I am having any issues with. Xbox series S build 1.30.12.0
In 99% of trying to start a flight with the longtitude all screens were black. Don’t know what’s wrong here. Seems to be very unstable on XBOX.
Just had CTD on a very capable PC (Intel 13900K, 32GB, Ti 3080), flying Cessna Citation Longitude (I’m not sure I’ve ever flown this plane before). 07FA (S of Miami a ways) to KVQQ up by Jacksonville, FL. CTD 21nm away from KVQQ. Too bad, I like the cockpit, controls, etc. Maybe I’ll try the mod suggested some time ago on this thread.
