The last month or so, I had MSFS suddenly freeze for a split second and next second, I’m back on my desktop without a single error message anywhere including the Event Viewer logs.
Never seen this before but always have been able to get some kind of information when MSFS suddenly crashes like this. I’m wondering if it could be related to SU15 
Feel a bit sad when MSFS has been running without a single CTD for such a long time now over here.
Anyone else seen the same thing lately?

I’ve had that in the past and it turns out it was due to another program crashing in the background that then caused the sim to crash without an error message, but also a bad overclock can also do this. Check the event viewer, which should have a recording of any errors that happened around that time. That’s how I discovered that problematic program.
Had the same these days. Sim running fine for some flights, and suddenly the crashes startet. Well, it just froze up the whole PC and only thing i could do was a hard reset.
Nothing in the eventviewer, no error message…
Im now pretty sure that it was some optimisation tweaks that were applied trough an other program (HoneCrtl) that MSFS didnt like.
I played tons of other games in the last months and the windows-tweaks did their job. Multiple different games were running for hours without any issue.
Even run a stresstest for a long time and all was fine.
But i think MSFS is much more picky to any tweaks/Overclock/Latency optimisations and stuff. So i dasabled all this stuff, reseted BIOS just to be sure, and so far it looks to run stable again.
Conclusion: Turn off any possible tweaks/programs interfering with Windows and especially overclock, even when it is only AMD PBO.

Over here, I haven’t changed anything to my setup in a long time and haven’t had any issues until now. As for overclock, my rig is a 13900K and a 4090, both running default speeds.
What is strange is how there are not a single entry in the event logs.
Oh well, only happened 2 times so far after SU15 was released and I’ve done lots of flying. So I guess I’ll just keep my fingers crossed the frequency won’t increase 
Do the following:
Open a command prompt with admin rights…
Go through each of the following steps one at a time. Copy each line, one at a time , paste it into the Dos window (crtl + V) and press return
and it will then run. Wait until each runs and finishes before you move on to the next one.
When you are completely finished, Restart your computer and then try to see in MS2020 will start and run properly
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
RESTART your computer as the last step. Then go for a test flight.
Already tried SFC /scannow which did find some error which were corrected.
As mentioned, I’ve only seen this strange CTD without anything in the logs after the crash twice and since posting here, I’ve completed 4-5 flight with no issues.
So I hope it will continue like this and even if I have one of these CTD:s every once in a while, it’s not too bad as long as the frequency of them happening keeps this low.
Then around the corner is MSFS 2024 which I hope will mean less of these kind of issues when the core of the sim as I understand it has finally been re-written to make better use of today’s modern hardware etc. Which hopefully will also makes things more stable. I remember how I was wishing for this to happen like 15-20 years ago and finally, it seems we are very close to have that dream fulfilled
