CTDs after pressing 'Fly Now' - only when Frame Gen On

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
As soon as I hit ‘Fly Now’, with DLSS Frame Generation turned on, the sim instantly crashes and pops up an error:

DXGI Unkown (0x887a002b)

I had also followed this forum, but to also no avail completely: Crash shortly after clicking "Fly Now" when DLSS is used.

I’m only able to load in without DLSS Frame Generation ticked off in the settings pre-loading in. Crashes on low, medium or high end settings. Tried to also turn it on when loading, then also crashes too.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
Yes. And also in the SU2 beta.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
Yes.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• No, I use frame gen in SU2 beta now, but it wasn’t available in SU1 because DLSS 4 wasn’t implemented then.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• The issue isn’t related to SU2 beta regressions as the OP indicated it was in the previous version too.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

I am also getting full system crashes on 1.4.10 after pressing Fly Now with Nvidia Frame Generation on. Screen will go black and system reboot shortly after.

I can load in with Nvidia Frame Generation ticked off in the MSFS settings menu.

I’ve reproduced this on at least 10 load ins with default C172, ATR, etc.

Nothing in community folder.

Rolling cache deleted and reset.

572.83 driver clean installed after DDU.

Latest version of W11.

There is rampant discussion far and wide across the web right now of the 572.XX drivers being completely unstable for 30 and 40 series cards, and especially when using Nvidia Frame Generation and G-SYNC.

While Asobo/Microsoft are driving this Beta to support DLSS4, and addressing VRAM issues for many users, amongst hundreds of other revisions on the change log, this has got to be a delicate game to play right now for devs (and for us who are opting in).

I’m back on SU1 for the moment, running the latest DLSS DLLs and DLSS4 with frame gen on and a 240Hz G-SYNC display on 572.83, with great performance overall and most importantly, no CTDs.

SU2 needs more work, and Nvidia has a lot of cleaning up to do with these drivers before we see more stability across the masses with native implementation of DLSS4.
