CTDs after SU5 (along with calibration issues on the Thrustmaster Airbus)

getting constant CTDs since SU5 on PC. cleared all ‘mods’ (a32nx liveries and some extra scenery around nyc) minus the pmdg dc6. I went to fly the aerosoft crj and there was something obviously miscalibrated or something with the joystick/sim. no1 engine works on throttles (physical ones i push and in aerorost cockpit) but no stats running to the engine. then go to fly the A32NX regular livery and CTD… frustrated and also being patient.

Agreed. On Thrustmaster Airbus Throttle, the ENG 1 switch does not work properly any longer. I have to manually turn it on. Once manually turned on, if I turn the switch on the quadrant to ON again, engine goes off.

I’ve had more CTDs tonight than what I had this whole year.

Asobo what have you done!! Mouse is not working properly after update tot SU5. Secondary functions in A320 are not reachable anymore when operating them with the mouse. ( Ex. Speed auto and selection, autopilot and manual baring ) have tries everything, even back to default.

Please let us go back to the previous version! It’s not flyable now. I’m playing a game now on a arcadesystem instead a “reallife” sim… :rage: :rage: :rage: :rage:

Am I the only one experience these problems.

im also getting CTD with A32x ive deleted and reinstalled multiple times… REALLY ANNOYING

This is the worse release so far. I cant play at all now. Constant CTDs. At any random stage of the flight. I have emptied my community folder. Restarted Windows. It is just CTD after CTD after CTD. Asobo and MS get off your couches and read these forums!!!

The performance gains are undeniable, but constant CTDs too. stock liveries (an no mods) help, but still there! Plus start up seems to take waaay longer for me, making the CTDs so much more bitter to swallow

Yes, I too am suffering constant CTD and random freezes since SU5.

Never been an issue before, but the sim is now effectively unusable.

Same here. Rarely experienced any CTD before yesterdays update. Now I am experiencing long pauses during flights and random CTD’s. Just did a flight from Paris to Heathrow and had 3 long pauses and the a CTD 3 feet from landing at Heathrow! Very frustrating.

Never had any CTD’s until this update. Done a complete reinstall, reinstalled GPU drivers, empty community folder and still CTD. My flights don’t last longer than five minutes and only got off the runway once! Asobo what have you done

For me the problem seems to be ‘AI OFFLINE’.
Turn AI ‘OFF’ or ‘REAL-TIME ONLINE’ and no more CTD’s…
Happy days…hopefully…

(I’ve posted this in other threads)

and I have answered you in other threads. This is a known bug that was in the release notes, and not the cause of all our CTDs

It worked for me…

Just trying to help…if someone could save me from doing complete re-installs, I’d sure appreciate that bit of info…

Thanks Gurdy…

Random crash

can confirm this morning the A32NX still causing CTD. as well, the no1 engine still does not function in the CRJ or in the Asobo a320. as well, having serious thrustmaster calibration issues with the CRJ (no response whatsoever to setting that had worked without incident until yesterday)

seems the eng no1 starter is stuck in the off position and cant be moved via thrustmaster, mouse, or keyboard. tried a thrustmaster update, no dice. likely the same issue in the CRJ… guess ill be flying on xbox today =/

For the eng 1 problem, for me it worked to keep the hardware ENG 1 switch off. When it’s set to off, it seems to get ‘unstuck’ so you can at least flip it on from the cockpit.

@Dubowski1969 thanks! when you say hardware eng 1 switch off. do you merely mean physically switching it off on my thrustmaster prior to loading into a flight?

You can do it during the flight; it seems having the hardware switch flipped on, kept it stuck as “off.” I know, it makes no sense. Once I switched it off, I could toggle eng 1 on and off with the mouse without issue.

I still keep the eng 2 hardware switch on. It looks funny but works.
