I have been experiencing CTDs for the past several days. I didn’t add anything to the community folder in a very long time. The sim loads and then the flight loads and that’s when the CTD occurs. I experienced this the first time in New Zealand South Island. Then I loaded in Australia, PNG and the U.S. and the same results. It’s very discouraging.
I also didn’t update to the latest version of Nvidia which is said to be causing CTDs.
Are you using DX11 or DX12?

I was able to fly for about an hour over the Sluice Canyon, Oregon border this morning. Didn’t load up another flight, so can’t say if the issue persists.
Run the following commands (w/admin rights) and when all completed successfully and without error/s. In the following order:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
RESTART computer as the last step.
Thanks a lot for taking out the time to help. I have been flying for the last two days and no CTDs. They disappeared as mysteriously as they appeared. I made no changes to the software or the community folder.

I ´ve had the same issue some weeks before. CTDs from nowhere………
I went back to May 2025 Nvidiadrivers and it seems to work for me.
GeForce Game Ready Treiber 576.40 (12. Mai 2025) or.
GeForce & Studio WHQL Treiber 576.52 (19. Mai 2025).

More CTDs!
I haven’t had these CTDs since the first year of MSFS 2020, when any flight over 30 minutes would result in a CTD.
The nightmare has returned out of the blue.
That’s what a CTD looks like. Didn’t even reach the cruise altitude. Crashed (the sim!) within 15 minutes…

I reloaded the sim and the next one crashed before even taking off.
It’s so discouraging.
