* I haven’t had a crash in well over 6 months, and yesterday, at the end of the Friday livestream I crashed while parked up at the end. I think I know what triggered it. I was tinkering with my SPAD driven Logitech config with regard to starting the DHC-2 Beaver. I did not have the Starter, and Boost pump bound, and was tinkering with those. SPAD was busy reporting events, in the Event Monitor, and I left this running. While that was happening, I was also editing the binding for the “Fuel Pump” switch, flipping the switch in the virtual cockpit, then using the up/down keys to traverse the list of simvars looking for one that had changed from a 0 to a 1, and vice versa.

I then noticed that the audio cut out, and the sim had frozen. A few seconds later the sim crashed.

It’s what I have suspected for quite some time, that its possible to crash the sim by messing around in SPAD, as I have had this happen in the past. It’s possible that leaving the Event Monitor running did it, or it could have been the fact I was leaning on the down key scanning through all “pump” related simvars.

I’ve added the crash logs below in the order that they appeared, so it looks like it was FSRealistic that actually fell over, and somehow caused MSFS to fall over, though I’m not 100% sure of that.

Making a mental note to only mess around with SPAD at the beginning of a flight, and not at the end so as to avoid loss of data.
