yep, I wrote within other topic that fps is not the main-indicator for system-load / heat. You can have 100fps with no 3D rendering stuff and your gpu idles. Or, you can get ( like me ) a gpu in full load in the main-menue in 4K because of the background-hangar rendering and the gpu reach only 35fps ( was only an example: the new low power mode fix that … but I mentioned that, because most users are not aware how much power the hanger-rendering needs ).
I can of course never 100% exclude a issue with g-sync, there are so many with g-sync and that independend of MSFS. But usually it is like: if you get no crashs with setting a fps limit and crashs without a limit, somewhat with the system is in overload/overheat. My 2080Ti can run MSFS hours in full load ( and my room-temp go 2deg higher
), but since a (long) while I have a Vsync-step-limit. It makes in my case no sense to let my GPU run in permanent in full load ( and full power consume ) to reach 40fps, if the Vsync-Step is 35fps and so the GPU load is much more relaxt.
