CTRL-TAB does not enter VR

I need help please. I just setup a new i9 3090 computer and I cannot enter VR mode using CTRL-TAB on the keyboard. Reverb G2 if it matters. Everything was working great on my old computer.

When I press CTRL-TAB nothing happens. I tried another keyboard and also tried rebooting the computer. I have not changed any key bindings and in the Options/VR setting is set to CTRL-TAB. The Cliff House works fine. The headset status is READY.

I’m super excited to try this upgrade which cost me over $3500 for the computer and 3090.

All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Thanks,

Mack

Have you tried deleting the assignment and then re-assigning it?

Is your registry properly set to the correct version of OpenXR?

Maybe the desktop does not have focus. Make sure FS is full screen?

Thank you VERY MUCH to everyone. Your suggestions helped. The problem was that in OpenXR I forgot to set it as the Open Runtime.

This is a great community and all I really want to do is fly instead of diddling with settings. I love the Citation family of jets as I have the most real flight time in those. I’m working on learning the CRJ now.

My first impressions of the i9 with a 3090 are great! I used @FORCE3D1 (VR Flight Sim Guy) settings in his latest video. So far great. I’m about to try a trip at low altitude down the Thames in London.

Thank you all again.

Meaning you have to take your mouse then click(double click) inside the MSFS2020 window. Mouse pointer may change color or shape to let you know mSFS2020 window has “focus”. Especially true if you have multiple monitors. Without MSFS2020 window having focus, nothing happens when you Cntrl-Tab when attempting to enter VR from 2d.
