Cub Crafter X-Cub Trim with AP engaged

msfs-2020
I’ve recently noticed when I put the Cub into AP the elevator trim value on the HUD goes to 0% and doesn’t move. However the actual trim is moving, and when I disconnect AP the plane goes to 0% elevator trim causing all sorts of problems!!

Anyone else seeing this??

Thanks!!

In the systems.cfg file, verify if the line
pitch_use_elevator_only = 0
is present in the [AUTOPILOT] section
If not create it, if the value is 1 change it to 0
Do the same for all versions (wheels, floats and skis)
Restart the sim
This should solve this issue.

Thank you so much! It worked. It was 1 in the file.

How do you think it got changed to a 0, or maybe it was that way all along?

Again, thank you,

Michael

I checked mine after my post and it’s 1 by default so I guess it’s the same behavior since the beginning. You just didn’t pay attention to it.
Remember to keep this modification somewhere. In case of a reinstall or if they update the plane it’ll be lost.

Hi,
Where can I find systems.cfg? I have searched all my drives and can’t find it anywhere.
Thanks.

Can you be more precise ?
Do you want to solve the same issue or just locating the systems.cfg file ?
2020 or 2024 ?
PC or Xbox ?
MS Store or Steam version ?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I also have the same issue although it doesn’t worry me. It’s just that I see other posts referring to cfg files and am curious as to where they are. PC, MS Store, 2020.

OK, I have the Steam version, locations aren’t identical and files access is total, so I can’t help you much.
However, I have read that with your MS Store version, many directories of the sim are hidden by Windows and therefore inaccessible directly.
Maybe a search on this point could help you.

(embarrassed) Duh, thanks for reminding me about the hidden flag :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: Found it now. Thanks again.

You’re welcome.
Glad to help when I can.
