• Just trying this aircraft for the first time and the first thing I try and do is switch on the nav lights. Before staring the engine. They don’t work. Neither do any of the other lights.
Who the hell tests these aircraft? It’s a joke. The first thing you do is switch on nav lights. How does this get through quality control?

There are several problems with the NX Cub:
Several of the light switches are INOP, as already reported. Since these worked perfectly on the same aircraft in FS2020, this is an FS2024-specific bug with this aircraft.
There is something wrong with the electrical system model: The sim keeps insisting that the electrical system is “off”, even when the master battery and avionics switches are clearly “on”, and the avionics and autopilot are all powered on. The error message says that the radios won’t work until the electrical system is turned on and that communication with ATC can not be performed until the electrical system is switched on. The aircraft spawns in this condition, supposedly “Ready to Fly”. Manually resetting the master battery and avionics switches do not correct the problem.
This issues is only on the NX Cub (tricycle gear version); the regular tail-dragger Cub is okay.
Can we get some sort of tracker for all aircraft and progress on bugs - this is a perfect example. The weekly bug report isn’t cutting it. There are plenty of 2024 aircraft with specific bugs. Saying there is now an internal bug report only tells us that someone is looking at it but I’ve now come to this issue via Google because I was questioning if there was a problem with my install not the sim as a whole!. It would be really helpful to have a single page listing all aircraft and the individual bugs that are registered per plane, that we could all look at. Especially as you can now deploy fixes almost immediately as you fix them. It would help me decide which aircraft I’ll fly. It’s very frustrating loading in to a flight only to find there are issues with what were working planes in MSFS2020.
I have little trust that aircraft-specific bugs will be fixed efficiently. There are 95 default aircraft, all of them are full of bugs. I don’t think Asobo will ever have the capacity to polish all of them. If we look at 2020, many default aircraft were never touched, only a handful of them got any kind of improvement, and even those few models were improved by Working Title. There’s no way Asobo will ever be able to fix so many issues with so many aircraft.
I think the general idea is that default aircraft are just there for show, and anyone who wants real quality will have to buy add-ons. Maybe even payware versions of models that are in there by default.
