Hi everyone, I don´t know if there is a topic already opened, for this.
I´ve opened this topic to allow you to share strange and/ or cool airports with interesting IFR and/ or VFR procedures,
Here goes my 1st airport: LSGS (Sion) This airport has one of the most beautiful approaches I´ve ever made in the sim, it has a RNP Approach which is flown between mountains, it has an IGS approach to the same RWY (This is basically an ILS in which G/S and LOC is intercepted at 17000ft and reaching 4000ft you continue in visual with an offset track to the RWY.
I love MGGT — Aeropuerto Internacional La Aurora — in Guatemala City.
Besides my love of this country, its people and the times I’ve spent there, I have many memories of the landings there, coming in low over the ravine leading to the densely packed properties that are built all the way up to base of the runway along with the upward slope the runway takes as it heads towards its opposite end where commercial properties are built right up to it.
Many a flight I’ve taken out of there to other destinations within Central America via TACA (Take a Chance Airlines, haha).
