I’ve already tried to open a ticket with this issue on Zendesk, however after posting it, the ticket was immediately put in the “Solved” status.
I don’t know if there are other users complaining about the same issue, so I will post it here in case of anyone eventually found a workaround for it, in the mouse settings or even in the MSFS settings.
The problem is the behavior of the cursor (mouse) in MSFS, when in the panel views. This behavior is very annoying and exasperating…
For instance when you have to set speed or altitude with a rotary knob, you have to be constantly pressing the mouse’s button, otherwise it looses focus and to continue adjusting parameters you have to reposition the cursor. This is also true for other buttons like PgUp and PgDn buttons of FMC when scrolling pages. If you stop clicking, for even a very short time, the cursor disappears and your subsequent clicks only work after you reposition the cursor with the mouse.
Furthermore when you need to click several times on a given button, and you do not do it fast enough, there it goes - the cursor disappears and your subsequent clicks do nothing until you reposition the cursor to make it appear again, and then continue.
This is indeed very annoying and frustrating and besides your arm gets tired of being constantly adjusting the cursor’s position. I think this would be easy for Asobo to correct, for instance on FSX Steam Edition the cursor behaves normally, without this annoying behavior.
