Custom wind Settings

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone could explain to me the logic behind the settings of custom winds/turbulence?
There seems to be large number of turbulence presets visualized by the heartbeat graphic but what is the logic behind that frequency setting? After all, where is the difference? And can anybody enlighten me, why the gust value has a default of 100 which seems to result in zero turbulence? This looks very innovative to me and might be interesting, however I wish there was a METAR mode, where standard reports can easily be entered…

That get’s a +1 from me. On the occasions when, or rather “where” live weather isn’t working, being able to source your own reports, and inject that in to the sim would be useful.
