There was a minor 3,5kbyte “update” on Steam in the last days (just checked it) but have not seen any updates in the sim nor update notes. Yes, Beta for SU6 was a bit confusing since it was advertised in forums as " Sim Update 6 Flight Now Live". 
Possible this “update” made beta SU6 access available for those who have the code for that.
