Haha, knowing you from the forums now for quite some time, I was sure that after you said you won’t bother about the new CFD and whatever stuff, you will start working on it. ![]()
does anyone know c++?
i require some assistance
Do any of you have the problem that the call-outs (“Vertical Track” and “500”) don’t work anymore. I think it’s only since SU9 that I’m having the problems. I have tried with Improvement Mod enabled and disabled.
Are these call-outs realized by the mod or are these Asobo standard?
==> Problem solved (I have reinstalled the DA62 in the content manager)
Bit rusty, but what do you need?
Is there a way to map all these extra functions like “alternate air” or “fuel selector (on/crossfeed/off)” or “aux pumps” ? it would be soooo helpful to get these functions mapped to streamdeck or buttons on my throttle
if you would like to share boredom with me
Did anybody else get the “EMER GEAR” warning on the ground, indicating that the gear can’t be retracted, and find out which other add-on conflicts with the DA62 causing this issue?
Thats explained in the PDF
I read the PDF occasionally, and I read the Changelog for every release, but I did not commit this detail to memory.
Since the “EMER GEAR” warning appeared immediately when the screen powered up, my inner Sherlock deducted that it must be an add-on conflict.
Now it’s obvious that I misclicked when hitting ELEC MASTER.
Considering the peculiar way the mouse pointer behaves in VR, I’m surprised it took me so many flights to trigger this behavior. In VR, with a head position slightly forward and up from default, there’s literally no gap between the clickspots for Elec Master and the pedal. The mouse pointer appears to be on the switch panel, just one pixel below the switch, but it activates the pedal underneath.
And in Legacy input mode, there’s no highlighting of clickspots, we rely on the mouse pointer (arrow vs hand). Good for immersion, suboptimal when it comes to “hidden” clickspots like this.
I know to be more careful when hitting the switches, but if there’s gonna be another version, would you consider only accepting clicks on the pilot-side pedal while the gear is up and/or the aircraft is airborne?
im gonna remove it for the next update. Its only caused confusion
OH THE MISERY ![]()
Greets, before i leave for the longer weekend, here is a pre-release version of the 62x.
Same stuffs like the 40. New flaps, CFD, Propmodel, FADEC, State saving, damage, Autopilot.
Feathering animation, lower oil temps, removed emergency gear, M302 brightness can be set by clicking on the screens
Thank you for giving us an advance look at 8B. Here are a few .7 to .8B differences I noticed after a startup cold and dark:
Thank you for the update,
There are times when the stop brake is on by default.
It looks like the alternate flight instruments are not working properly, they now show white squares.
Then I didn’t know what the ESP OFF on the G1000 gauge meant.
Tested the pre-release (0.8). So far, its performing as expected and the aircraft is still fun to fly. Some strange things that MAY or MAY NOT be related to the mod is one takeoff, the aircraft banks left and right at random. It may be due to crosswind, but I never dealt with sudden bank angles from crosswinds. Only yaw, but its something I noticed. Autopilot flies just fine. Im not sure why someone else had an issue with AP trim, but its possible that I was using approach mode, and thus didnt have trim that extreme. But even without appr mode engaged, my trim was just fine.
While Im not certain if its ready for final release as Im not the best with beta testing, I certainly didnt encounter any experience breaking scenarios and enjoyed each flight I made with the bird. Loving the new prop model for this and the DA40!
@MrTommymxr thank you! Just one question: do you know why on Asobo C172, CFD makes grass to move while in your da40/62 it does not?
ive never ever noticed grass move in this game. Can you send a video?
it was on by default previously, now off and its saved between sessions
I use visual and RNAV approach modes with throttle at 40% when landing in .7, and AP sets the trim with just a skosh (technical term) of nose up. Using approach mode with throttle at 40% when landing in .8B, AP set the trim 100% nose up.
