if you want its your baby lol and while 6 is pretty strong avg diesel pressure can be 2000bar. Does rl plane have the pessure alarm i didnt see it in the amm again not knocking your work just really interested in it
fuel pump and rail pressure is something different.
its in the AFM under the general engine specs
min fuel pressure is 4 bar.
i dont really have a source for the max pressure, but 6 bar is good enough
i see. thanks for the info
@MrTommymxr I can’t remember if I’ve thanked you for putting this mod together. I’ve never simmed before and took to the skies in the DA62 for a trip around the Caribbean. 107 stops in the stock (non modded version) so I got use to it’s idiosyncrasies, however I never felt like I could get fully comfortable in it.
It was great but the very, very basic things just never felt right. Turning circle for instance, or having to came down with far too much power on when landing. But when you use it enough times you don’t even think twice about it.
Now that I’ve started on my South American tour from Belize, reached Panama and then took the leap again into the Vortex. Loaded in the Garmin simm, added your mod and away I went.
Wowser, what’s this, I could actually turn on the runway and stay on it! I’ve learned to no longer simply fly at high speed when taking off and landings feel so much more realistic. Everything changed from thoroughly enjoying the scenery to enjoying both scenery and flying. Now I’m trying to do it closer to how it should be.
I can’t thank you enough for this, I’m in Ecuador and I seriously feel spoiled!
I do have a couple of questions though. Do I also have to include the Fadec as well. What is it, and what difference will it make? If I add it will I lose my throttle control from my tca airbus stick.
Also if I set my decent to 100, 200 or 300 etc is that per feet per nm as it never seems to actually come down at this rate.
Is their a best cruising altitude. When I look at Diamonds website they show 12k altitude info but mfs description lists 14k.
Many thanks for everything that you’ve done in really bringing the 62 to what it deserves.

nice that you like it
Automatic propcontrol (Propcontrol “FADEC”) is standard. You can use your normal throttle axis and the propeller RPMs are set according to the power curve in the AFM.
The difference is that the FADEC will not adjust for you while you climb and descend.
If you want the Full FADEC. then you have to change 2 files. the ECU file and the Engines file.
If you use the full fadec you cant use your throttle axis, as it’s, broken.
The decent mode "VS” is vertical speed and not a vertical path. You set the rate in feet per min that you would like to climb/descend.
The DA62 can go all the way up to 20000 feet, its more efficient up there
Just put on an oxygen mask above 12,500 ;).
Some of the confusion might be the tooltips value shown as you click the nose up/down buttons on the autopilot. In FLC mode they behave logically. That is, the tooltip values show the set speed you are requesting the autopilot to generate. So 100 knots shown on the Nose up/down buttons tooltips will match 100 knots on the PFD.
But in VS mode the tooltip values shown as you click the nose up/down button relate to actual aircraft movement, not the set vertical rate. And they are shown in feet per minute divided by 100, so selecting a 500 fpm climb will eventually see the tooltips value hover around 5.0fpm, but will jump all over the place until the aircraft settles in its climb. So in VS mode the tootips value will often not match that set on the PFD.
Now that explains an awful lot as to why I could never get it right
. I naturally assumed that as everything else is in distance, then this would be as well.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Hi there - where was this message quoted and what does it mean for you as a modder? Will something like this now be able? Currently reading up on WebAssembley but its a bit over my head
gps2w_xp11 GPS Keyboard App
uh, i don’t remember.
WebAssembly is like a JPG. You can edit in photoshop, gimp or paint.
WebAssembly allows you to use whatever programming language you like and then run it in the sim.
the FADEC is C++ code compiled to WebAssembly
ah, hm… i never turned those on
Engine fix for Full FADEC and NON FADEC
Changes:
- Fixed Fuel flow increase from the fuel pumps *
- Fixed Ammeter indications
- Removed low fuel pressure CAS message
- Synced shutdown sounds
- Added red speed tape in G1000 and external view
- Changed the external RPM gauge yellow band
- Changes FLT files
- Other stuff
Notes:
*Turns out, the game will take the “Max_rated_hp” value in the engines.cfg, and simply multiply that by the throttle position and Specific fuel consumption. The simple workaround fix is to set the max rated HP to “1”.
Also, no need to move files to change engine control type, I did the hard work for you guys. Sorry bout that
It’s been surprisingly quiet here. I’ll take that as a good sign that everyone is happy
Any ability to get any of the audible warnings to work right (TAWS, stall, 500 feet, etc). I can’t get any of them and not sure if that is a G1000 issue or a plane issue.
Bring your prop speed down until engine load starts to increase. Somewhere around 2250 I think.
Thanks again for continuing to improve your DA62 mod and certainly you can take it as an indication of satisfaction when we are flying thus spending less time complaining and requesting in the forum
A cheeky +1 on the callouts if you have time. I did take a peek and the xml and config files look OK -so it just may be the sound packs are deficient.
@arcolegrove @Rapidfire83274 Working on it. It not in the original sound file and i have to add it in somehow. No idea how lol
Sorry bout that. Fixed it
