I’m not sure what happened! This issue had gone away for me in one of the SU4 betas, even though it apparently was still an issue for some people.
But it’s back with a vengeance in both of the SU6 betas released so far.
Mine looks pretty much like yours.
I made a post in the SU6beta thread to see if anyone else was seeing it:

Yeah - really bad in SU6 beta. Actually worse than ever. Will reply in that thread too.
Maybe you should try (ease of use) https://flightsim.to/addon/112234/msfs-cache-manger, and after that, download the TBM and try from there? Ever since I used the “downloaded” version, even with SU6, I haven’t had this issue.
besides that, the TBM still has way too much visual bugs:
Intake-insides missing (LOD model), prop shadow has no blur.
pitot tube parts missing
how it’s supposed to look like:
Just coming back to this. I posted in the other thread here that it seemed resolved with the most recent version: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/su6-beta-general-feedback-and-discussion-thread/770415/1100?u=wheeliemonsta
However, it’s not. It’s inconsistent. When I first downloaded (I don’t stream this aircraft) the updated version, it seemed to be fixed, but then on a subsequent try, it was back. Then gone again!
No changes in between!
Maybe I’ll try an uninstall and see if streaming it fixes it…
I’m having the same problem when streaming the aircraft, it’s there one flight, gone the next, rinse and repeat.
On my first flight in the TBM 930 in MSFS 2024… Island hopping from Brisbane to Santiago.
SU6 v1.8.14.0 / Streamed / PC / MS Store … and horrible heat blur effect outside.
It’s even on the outside!
On triple screens, when the blur is on the side monitor, it’s worse, it’s a black blob. This only seems to occur in this aircraft for me (but I have not tried them all… doesn’t happen in the C172, for example, but not a lot of exhaust effect in the C172 either…)
PS to the Forum managers - the so-called work around requires removing a file that affects all aircraft, if I understand - so that’s not really a solution. Not one I’m going to employ.
Community Managers: this bug report should not be marked “Solved”
The “solution” is to remove a file from MSFS, which would remove normal heat blur from all aircraft.
Please remove the “Solved” tag, so that the heat blur on the TBM can be fixed.
Thank you.
I wouldn’t hold my breath for Asobo to actually fix this.
The only thing that worked for me is disabling the exhaust fumes completely. Which is what wheeliemonsta is most likely referring to.
For those who are unaware, rename VisualEffectLibs/Asobo/Base/FX_Heat_Exhaust.spb to VisualEffectLibs/Asobo/Base/FX_Heat_Exhaust.spb.disabled and then restart MSFS 2024. This completely removes the exhaust fumes effect from the game and applies to all aircraft.
I can finally look out the window and see the ground. It’s a shame we have to revert into messing with game files to resolve an issue that developer is not addressing.
This game is full of those, AMD gfx night lighting, TBM LOD bug (turbine intake), live weather and so on…
On question though, why doesn’t the download version of the TBM show this exhaust bug?
Not sure if this is what you mean, but in the MSFS Store I downloaded all game content, about ~450 GB including city packs, and I still had the distortion from the exhaust. Only after removing the file the issue was resolved.
