DC 3 loses and gains altitude on its own, what causes this ?
Moved to #third-party-addon-discussion:aircraft as the stock sim doesn’t have a DC-3.
What DC3? I didn’t even know there was one for the game?
You many want to explain exactly what you’re doing and how the problem manifests. Even if I knew which plane you were talking about, I couldn’t figure out what you mean is going on. Are you on autopilot, handflying, what are your engine settings?
All aircraft lose and gain altitude. Only way to avoid it is to stay parked on the ground.
Now that we have that out of the way, would you mind providing even a little context for what you’re talking about? I am not aware of any DC-3 currently even available for MSFS. Is it possible you meant to say the DC-6? Did you take a DC-3 made for some older version of the sim and import it?
It happens constantly even when you have the aircraft trimmed. It’s called gravity, and lift.
There’s an FSX DC-3 port floating around. If that’s the case here, you need to make sure you’re in Legacy Flight Model, not Modern.
I mean the plane keeps going down and up, If Iam at 5000 feet it keeps losing and gaining altitude on its own, Iam not doing it ?
Do you trim it out for the altitude and speed you’re flying at? Is it a gentle porpoising or more dramatic like windshear?
Once again, WHAT ADD-ON ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
No caps yelling please. If the Topic Author isn’t listening to follow-up questions in the effort to assist them, that’s on them. Plenty of other topics to participate in folks.
