You can convert most formats to DDS and reverse online. And it´s for free.
If you go into the F-14 documents folder and then into the paint kit folder you can just carbon copy the template thats there but obviously just change the names. Thats what I did anyway. You can use what ever font you like but if you want to make it realistic there are military fonts out there. I just used arial.
I’ll have to try to figure how to carbon copy it then thanks @Mobias7

I’m sorry, what?
There are plenty of videos linked to this thread for you to answer that question yourself
What a bizarre question
@ImDrako2132 I’d honestly recommend you wait till back and look for yourself and decide as it’s a lot of money for someone else to say it’s good or not without knowing your preference. I personally love it but others have raised concerns. But if DCS is what comparing to then just turn the other way as its been made very clear now that just isn’t what DC designs is going for.
I hope you have a lovely holiday wherever you are and if decide to pick up this fantastic plane you enjoy it.
Thank you, I think I’ll take your advice, indeed I’ll wait for my return and see for myself. I will delete my posts it’s better. In the meantime or maybe forever, I will continue to drive my tomcat in dcs.
No worries, glad could help. I do think once have a look will be hard not to have as even though won’t be as complex as DCS, exploring the world in an F-14 is pretty dang amazing
To tell you the truth I bought the typhoon for free, I had fun 3 times to cross the clouds, to make skimming, and to catch the sun at the layer to Mach 2 to 60000 feet, but it is all, since it is not even more on my hard disk…
So if this one has a minimum of decency, I ask that it!
I did the same and flew maybe twice, one test and another to go to space its that messed up lol.
This isn’t even in same universe as Bredok3D never mind level. Not only are 99% of textures better, it handles well and the developers genuinely care about the product and feedback (compared to Bredok3D who delete low reviews lol) so if that’s the comparison this will be amazing. It’s my favourite jet yet. The only texture that bugs me is the bleeding of the yellow bit on the yoke but otherwise it looks as good as photos I have seen.
What is a pity in the immediate future, it is that if, it is of quality, it will miss the condensation and the drag of the wings as long as mfs will not implement it in the sim for more immersions
There is definitely limitations but I know Dean and co have worked hard to make fly by numbers and as close as can within limitations which is all we can ask for ultimately. I do also think given its such an iconic plane for the price even a model half as good as this would be tempting for many but from what I see in reviews, a lot of people seem really pleased with how turned out.
Ha cool, good news, thanks for your information!
No worries. Obviously still have a good watch of the reviews yourselves (even if just because they are entertaining) to get a view yourselves but I think you’ll like it.
It’s getting late here so I should sign off but hope everyone has a good evening!
Thanks, good night!
Agreed, that does seem fairly self evident based on the stated purpose of both products.
If you followed this debate through to its logical conclusion there would be no Battle of Britain Memorial Flight or any other warbird preservation activity because we cannot go to an airshow to watch a BBMF Spitfire shoot down a (Buchon) Me109 or their Lancaster bomb Slough.
If they - or Dean’s F14 or F15 - exist in MSFS it is because they are iconic aircraft first and foremost that people want to fly, not fight.
I’ve seen in some youtube comments that the simulator seems very bouncy when touching down etc etc. I made a landing not too long ago and I literally just kept bouncing, wheels of the runway, on the runway repeatedly. I then got annoyed and I bounced so high I was able to pitch the nose down at like a 45 degree angle and crashed into the runway due to how frustrated I was.
I’m assuming this is nothing Dean (@DEAN01973) can fix but, it’s a simulator problem as a whole. Nonetheless, looking forward to the future of this sim!
Edit:
This used to happened with DCD’s aircraft but not anymore, speaking more in general with other aircraft in the simulator.
The F-15 was like that for a bit. It was cleaned up in its last update. I’ve yet to experience any bouncing in the 14.
