Glad you finally showed up! Sorry about this update took so long, but i hope you like the result.
That looks nice.
It was a fun flight
Going to check it out today, I’ll let you know. But everything sounds pretty positive so far.
I had a great flight this afternoon in the F-15E out from Leuchars in Fife (formally RAF Leuchars) across Scotland to the West coast and then North up over the Mull of Kintyre, Jura, Iona and then up as far as the Isle of Skye before turning back East and heading home to Leuchars again. Back in time for tea. I filled the plane with rather too much fuel so had to manage my fuel loads. I didn’t know quite how far north I was going to get.
One of the many reasons I love fast jets in the sim is that if you don’t always have a lot of time to devote to the sim, or like me your attention span isn’t always suited to longer slower flights, they really open up the world for exploration.
Great pics. I need to check that area out!
Check out my home, Austin, TX when you have time. It’s pretty accurate in the sim. Downtown is a bit dated in Bing Maps, but it’s accurate for when the imagery was done. KT74 is minutes away from my house.
Hello I was hoping we would get the option to remove the copilot in the 15E with this update. Setting the station weight to 0 doesnt work. Is it not implemented in this update or am I not undertanding how to do it? Your help would be appreciated Thanks
Why would you want or need to? I checked the code and it’s been there all along, should vanish in the same way as the pilot but you need to empty the WSO station weight not the pilot’s.
That second shot there is bloody sexy.
Hi Dean. Thanks for the quick reply. I never want to remove the pilot from external view, but some of us would like to fly solo with no WSO. Changing the copilot station weight to 0 in the flight tuning/cfg file doesnt remove the copilot from the external view. I recall you mentioning adding this option to the F15 as you did for the F14 although I dont have the F14 so I dont know how it works?
You’re supposed to remove the weight from the in-sim payload manager. The .cfg files don’t need to be touched.
Hi Dean. I understand your position that the 1.0.8 update not being live on SimMarket is a SimMarket issue. However I have spoken with them and they claim they have not received the 1.0.8 update file from Just Flight, which is why it is not available. As of this moment none of your customers who purchased through SimMarket can update the product due to what SimMarket claims is your publisher not providing the file. Is there any way you can check with your publisher, Just Flight, on this?
Then why not fly the single seat C model?
Oh I do. Love it too, but when I fly 2 seater fighters I like to go it alone )
I have, and they have sent it. Really not much more than I can do I’m afraid.
Ok thanks Dean. You confirming that for me allows me to go back to SimMarket and call them out
Hi, apologies if this has already been answered, but how do I hide the pilot when I’m in the cockpit. I’m seeing through the back of her head whenever I turn on power.
Payload manager in-sim, set pilot weight to zero. Either that or just use the normal pilot view, in which case the pilot will vanish automatically.
Going to the default view fixes it, but any of my custom views brings it back. Setting the weight to 0 just resets to 200 again whenever I close the menu. I’ll tinker with it some more. I think the weight thing is a new ‘feature’ of Asobo’s, I’ve seen it in other aircraft as well.
