DC Designs F-15

The F-15 is an old doggie. Wonderful in its day but a little dated. I shall await an F-22 or F-35. Perhaps an F-15X when it is ready to go.

Hey all - can we confirm LNAV works in v 1.7 beta?

It’s working, but for some reason now i can’t get it to respond to my VS keys

Does it works with 1.6?

Thanks in advance

jdiegel i think i have located the root issue:

tried the 0.5 scalar but it alters some other behaviours, however is a good start point because i can tweak different moments by separated fields. More or less i’m approaching:

I really appreciate your feedback because your vision helps me to achieve the objective.

Stay tuned.

No worries, i’ll check it out too

Step by step

Noted this too for revision

Nailed it!

@CodenameJack447 @DEAN01973 and everyone else who has contributed to this thread, just a massive thank you, for all your hard and continued work.

I picked up the F-15 last night, and after flying until about 12.30am, I had got a good feel for the aircraft. You guys are way more qualified than me regarding the physics, and settings, but all the issues I had picked up, have already been mentioned.

While searching online to see if there were any updates, that lead me to this thread. I only played in 4K, I wanted to save the VR experience in the G2, for when some of the issues have been ironed out. I have been looking forward to the F-15 in MSFS, and the sheer joy of intercepting (but not disturbing) some ones commercial flight, just put a massive smile on my face.

Can’t wait to get the bird up to its top speed.

I spent an embarrassing amount of time intercepting commercial flights yesterday. Great fun

Hey! I like to do that as some kind of rescue mission like in this article!

v1.7.1beta

Ok fellas!

This is a minor update while i keep working on 1.8.

  • Added copilot camera for F15-E/I. Selectable through camera ui.
  • Added Flight director and airspeed control to Autopilot. LNAV and VNAV should work without problem. If that isn’t the case, report to me.

Instructions are the same as 1.7 beta: Place 1.7 beta folder or 1.6 folder into your community folder as before (this is mandatory). Place cameras, disabled panels, and autopilot folders as separated in the same root community folder to enable/disable cameras/panels/autopilot new versions. To use stock versions just delete from community folder.

You’re the best! FD and LNAV/VNAV work great! However, when i set my altitude the plane doesn’t climb to designated altitude instead it actually kept descending until i hit the ground. Also, i noticed max VS it’ll go to is 6000 and once you let go of the keys it’ll automatically decrease the VS back down to about 1000?

Thanks @CodenameJack447, my english is too poor for explain what @joneffingvo said, but I agree

@CodenameJack447 , you said “Place cameras, disabled panels, and autopilot folders as separated in the same root community folder” Does it means that we place it to the dcdesigns-aircraft-f15_CJ447_1.7beta folder or the community folder ?

I think it’s in community folder but it’s just for being sure

yeah, each folder in root community. Don’t worry, your english is better than mine

All right, thanks
