We are happy to report that the issues regarding access and streaming have been resolved. The distribution layer capacity has been increased to handle the immense interest in the simulator and the reliability is now above 99.999%. Our servers and services are also all performing as expected.
Everything is performing as expected. It is a feature not a bug!
My concern is a bit that we start with this sim and do some hotfixes to get it accross the starting line. This will hunt us during next planed SimUpdates. For sure a bunch of these patches will break with the next simupdate. <
It feels a bit like starting with a plane that is only held together with duct tape.
In my experience almost everytime Asobo fixed something in MSFS 2020 another thing broke thatās why I want them to leave MSFS2020 alone. Itās good now.
I can guarantee you during next weekās delayed Dev Livestream, theyāll say the following:
The launch server issues have been fixed. Great job ASobo.
Weāve sent a couple of patches and all will be fixed. Great job us.
Meanwhile no talk about the terrible lighting in the sim, the awful visuals during night time, screen brightness being completely overexposed in almost every airplane when using HDR, and of course, NO ONE OF THE 2020 ADD ONS WE ALL HAVE PURCHASED WORKING IN MSFS 2024. Let alone the basics of the sim in free flight, gates not working, AI aircraft acting 10x worse than in 2020, etc. - basically MSFS 2024 is a āCareer Modeā sim. Thatās really how I see it. Which is not how it was sold, as a core simmer who enjoys flying real to life, āstudy levelā aircraft (not the basic default 737 Max that Asobo made).
Also, for godās sake, please fix the freaking controls mapping UI and let us export our settings or have Thrustmaster be able to import our settings like in 2020.
Iāll skip the dev livestream. I donāt have any confidence in Jorg anymore.
In a company like MS there is no honesty. There is only money and dont be fooled: MS will do anything to put 2024 and themselves in the positive spotlightā¦no matter the state of the game or people enjoying or not
Quite interesting report from steamDB. MS2024 had slightly increasing numbers over the past view hours as I would have expected.
The more interessting part is that MS2020 has since a few hours more activ players then 2024.
But I guess there are more players on gamepass then with 2020.
Anyhow in my opinion this shows that the current state of the game is not as enjoyable for players than a 4 year old game.
At least on steam.
In my opinion this should be a clear sign that they need to improve quickly. Also I guess a more honest communication would help to improve the situation. Instead of proclaiming that everything is all right.
Come on MS get your sā¦ together and make it a success as we all hope it will be and as it should be!
Which could be resulting in a degradation of sever performance recently as the afternoon has gone on. To the point where I got a new error during loading just now even though I have a GB connection that is functioning as normal.
Theyāll disappear from December 15th, leaving us here for the holidays with an unreliable simulator and bad service. The point is, theyāve got the profit.
Itās been two weeks since the release of the MSFS 2024 simulator. In two weeks, so many changes have happened that users were able to start the game. The visual quality of the simulator is very poor. Iām thinking of the textures and photogrammetry. All textures are blurry, photogrammetry is melted. The number of errors is impossible to list. Cloud-based servers are not working.
Iāll be very curious about Microsoft and Asoboās statements tomorrow.
Unfortunately there a starting problems with MSFS2020 too.
These problems occured shortly after the release of MSFS 2024.
See topc " MSFS 2020 is now not accessible (30 November 2024)":
After nearly two days without problems these starting problems are back again today (17:00 UTC 2024-12-01)
I would like to play MSFS2020 like before.
If you cannot solve these problems then donāt expect that I will buy MSFS2024 !!
