I’m not saying one is superior to the other. But I think most developers would tell you that getting a game to run well on one platform is hard enough. Getting it to run well on multiple platforms is a narrow needle to thread. At some point in 2020’s lifecycle, someone made the strategic decision to bring this to Xbox. That’s not something you just do for the heck of it. And as we saw with 2020, it resulted a lot of unexpected issues.
If the team can make this really hum on both platforms, great. If they can’t, that sucks. And from what I’ve seen and heard, 2024 on Xbox is pretty rough in a lot of ways. So it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. Try to please everyone, and you will end up pleasing no one. That’s a universal truth.
