So, I got t tired of having mods installed, that I hardly ever use (yes, the F-14 is there as well), unfortunately. I tend to “fall in love” with mods after a while, but when I dont do that - I prefer not to not even see these mods (upcoming filter user would be appreciated). I deleted some mods, and since Im of the curious kind, I would like to hear which of these mods you think I should reinstall. I might have missed the beauty of some of them, not sure but hey… I’m over all kind of tired of the standards planes, I’m not sure why I got the RG Cessna or the large 207 Cessna. The V-Tailed Piper is actually OK, but it had to go for now. This was also an experiement to see if FS would run better/smoother.
But back to my question: Which mods should never have been uninstalled, according to you - and why? I will probably reinstall most of them (or that will maybe be automatically done with next update?), but I wanna hear what you think. Whats the + and - with the one Ive dropped, you think.

Looking forward to some interesting reading. =D
PS. I missed the Cowen Heli immediately, so that is already reinstalled.
DS.
Out of all of those, the one that I’d want back is the HondaJet.

Yeah, the HondaJet.
Maybe the Transall C-160

Actually exactly these two mods are the one I was thinkning getting back. I also removed the stock gliders, and reinstalled the GotFriends glider. Sometimes you need I glider, I guss… Got rid of the H4 as well. Then there are so many other planes are rarely use; the Extra and the “happy face” Cubs.
I’ll happily take more comments. Dont forget to tell me WHY i should keep them, since I might have overlooked features and handling on some of the mods.
Do you have one or two good Bush planes, like the PC-6 Porter or the Wilga?
What about a freeware turboprop beast like the Vertigo?
Or one of the excellent new turboprops like the FSR500, TBM 850, or PC-12?
Any warbirds?
Business Liner. It’s one of my favorite planes. I can’t understand how keeping them installed is more stressful than worrying you might have uninstalled the wrong one…?
@TheBlackWind977 Well… The best part is that you don’t have to worry so much…
Its also a kind of experiment as I stated un my post. Also, could not harm. I personslly never fly these planes.

I guess the Kodiaks will do the job, then…
Do they have an available weapons package?

Of course they do! Just can’t find the right button to release them…

Yes, Ive got the Hellcat!
I hear the Hellcat is a terrible amphibious plane.
Do you have the Flotiak, or any other amphibian?
Everyone should have at least one float plane.
FYI - I deleted a whole bunch of the default planes that I never have, nor ever will fly.
They were all reinstalled with the next SU. I think Microsobo is very possessive of their planes. Like you said, we should be given the option to at least hide them.
Addons/mods I’ve never even considered removing:
- A2A Comanche
- FSW Learjet 35A
- JPL/WB-Sim 152 mod
- Duckworks DC-3 mod
- vbazillio’s amazing California airports
- We Love VFR scenery packs
Obligatory comment: I use MSFS Addons Linker to just untick the boxes of addons I don’t want to load. Saves me from having to actually uninstall them unless I’m short on hard drive space.

A must-have, as far as I’m concerned. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get the supposed ability to create and control links to the aircraft in the default (non-Community) folder to work. Still, for managing Community addons, it’s amazing.
I just bought the Lear 35A. I’ve had the amazing Comanche for a while. I have all the We Love VFR scenery packs.
I almost never buy airports, but I’ll take a look at the dev’s work you mentioned.

Thankfully all of his airports are free! They use default assets for the most part, but you’d never know. If you don’t know where to start, I recommend his Placerville airport. It’s such a unique mountaintop airport.

Freeware with excellent ratings definitely have my interest. I’ll make sure to donate if I like them. They look really cool. Thanks for the heads up!

I second his work – it’s even inspired me to learn the SDK and do some improvements to two airports I fly in/out of regularly.
Really, really excellent work!

3rd pary flotiak - yes sir.
Oh no…they are gonna be reinstalled… =/ Have to use that app then…?
Cessna 172 best float plane!
Not sure vs the Kodiak with floaters. But vs a Kodiak with normal landing gear, the Cessna 172 is the better one suitable for water landings… =P
You create an Addon_Linker folder separate from your Community folder, then move everything in Community to the Linker folder.
Instead of installing mods into Community, you install them into the Linker folder and create presets with only the mods you want to launch. For example, I have a GA Preset, a Turboprop Preset, a Military Jet Preset, a Helicopter preset, and even an Empty preset (for troubleshooting purposes.) I have certain mods that load with most every preset (REX AccuSeason, for example.)
Linker creates (Ta Da!) links in the Community folder to the files in the Linker folder.
It supposedly can create links to the Asobo default planes in the Program folder, but I haven’t figured out how to make that work yet. Once I do, I can have a hanger aircraft selector that has as many (or as few) planes/airports/etc as I want.
A big side benefit is that Linker has a feature that will launch other programs prior to launching the sim. I launch SPAD and LittleNav Map automatically, before the sim launches in faststart mode.
