Default Boeing 737-Max not starting

Hi there,

Is anyone else having issues with the Boeing 737-Max not starting? I am following all procedures correctly, all systems are running, APU is on, isolation valve open, hydraulics on, fuel pumps on, switch set to left and right engine respectively following by turning switch to GRD, nothing. Cannot get it to start at all. Even when I use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + E, there’s nothing.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

I can start it from C&D without issues.
Did you set PACKS off?

Apu bleed needs to be on too. It does start up. I have a quick start guide if you need it. Its a txt file on my google drive. It’s the txt file with B38M in the title.

The packs were on.

Well, they have to be OFF when you start the engine and preferably off during takeoff.

I have this too. I actually fly a 737 IRL.
The 737 max in msfs24 will crank the engine, you raise the startlever at 25%, fuelflow starts, EGT rises to about 480C and then then the fuelflow suddenly drops to 0. The engine will crank for a while and then evrything repeats.

Beats me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Looks like the TCA Airbus quadrant I’m using is interfering somehow. When I raise a physical startlever on it, the on-screen startlever seems to work and the engine tries to start but it keeps aborting.
If I leave the TCA lever at OFF and only raise the onscreen lever: everything works….weird.

If I raise the TCA lever after the engine has started it cuts the fuelflow and everything starts over……

Inverted axis maybe? I seem to remember inverting the axis for a throttle on at least one aircraft and I can’t remember which one it was. I don’t have a TCA though. You can invert the axis with the cog symbol in the control mappings and invert axi will appear as an option.
