Default C172 load changes after first restart from first install

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

EDIT Update: This issue was either a fluke or maybe its already fixed but I can no longer recreate my own bug… so stop reading. sorry for the trouble. this post may self destruct…(not in 5 seconds though)

Description of the issue: A brand new install on X Box (and I assume PC) starts with the C172 G1000 Passenger version with ‘livery 01’. If you do nothing but allow the default aircraft to be selected and then you choose your start location ( a parking spot at an airport), when you open the EFB (when I do anyway), it shows only a pilot loaded at 170 pounds.

If you shut the sim down and restart and do the same as above, the EFB will now show both pilot and copilot.

Im really not sure that this matters but I thought Id mention it because many problems can arise from things not being properly instantiated.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

just once after fresh install and first restart.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Completely uninstall the sim including deleting all cloud saves. - OR - install a fresh copy of the sim.

  2. Complete setup using default character and options (X Box) except choose ‘Default Assists’ instead of ‘all assists’

  3. Start a flight using default plane (aka - do not touch the select plane panel)

  4. Choose a parking spot at an airport and set as departure.

  5. Click ‘Fly Now’ and then ‘Ready to Fly’(or whatever it is)

  6. In cockpit, open the EFB and select ‘Aircraft’ and ‘Performance’ and ‘Weight and Balance’

  7. Note that only a pilot is shown.

  8. shut down and restart sim and repeat the above process and note that now it shows both pilot and co pilot.

I really don’t know if this matters or maybe there is some switch I didnt check or maybe did check. I tend to choose ‘default assists’ and then turn off the HUDS and Visual Assistances and also the controller feedback. and I did purchase some liveries for both c172 and C152 (one package) - not sure if that matters either.

but I did doublecheck and it did it both times.

Do you have (or not) the co-pilot avatar enabled in your pilot profile ?

If possible, test again without any addons.

I double checked with all addons disabled including the livery addon. The install was a completely default install except that I chose ‘Default Assists’ instead of ‘All Assists’.

I have a controller and a keyboard and mouse that share a USB wireless connection.

The point is that these are the default choices being made and so Im not sure if a copilot is chosen by default. If so, that persons identity is not being set up at first install as would be expected and also that person does not show up on first run so that would also be a bug I suppose.

just delete your profile and all of your cloud saves and make sure you have the same controls as I do (aka nothing extra fancy) and start the sim from scratch to test what Im saying if you want to test.

I can not replicate this on PC]

For some reason, I can now no longer recreate this ‘bug’. I’ve tried several different ways but I just can’t remember exactly what I did to encounter it the first two times. It might be intermittent or it may be already fixed. It did happen as my pic above shows – but I can no longer even recreate my own bug and life is too complicated enough.

sorry for wasting anyones time. Should I just delete this or what?

At this point your last post has been marked as the solution. Feel free to report back if issue occurs again.
