Default iniBuilds Airbus Lineup Does Not Recognize F2 "Decrease Throttle" for Reverse

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

The included iniBuilds Airbus lineup of aircraft do not seem to respond to the F2 “decrease throttle” command to activate reverse thrust. The only way to activate reverse without 3rd party equipment with reverse detents is to use the mouse and drag the levers into reverse.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every sim session since SU4 when the aircraft is in use.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Select any of the included iniBuilds Airbus aircraft (A320neo, A321neo, A330 series)

  2. Spawn with the aircraft on the runway ready for takeoff, or land, and try to activate the reverse thrust using F2 or whichever button is linked to “decrease throttle”.

  3. Observe that reverse thrust is not activating.

In 2024 Transversal profile, “Decrease Throttle” is not assigned to the “F2” key but to the “F” key:

Are you using the same binding ?, if so try the “F” key.

Below are the examples of what my F and F2 keys are assigned to. I never use F in sim, and F2 is for reverse. I also don’t have individual profiles set up for each aircraft, just one-size-fits-all for the sim right now. All other aircraft except for the mentioned airbus fleet respond to F2.

The “Decrease Throttle” will not activate the reverse if you keep pressing on it.
Same for the B737. When using “Decrease Throttle” and you reach the minimum you get a message for this aircraft to use CTRL+F for reverse:

For the Airbus you don’t get that message but the same command applies:

Similar to the above. Set binds for previous and next detent - they will let you move the throttle through each of the detents. I use these

F1 - previous detent

F2 - decrease throttle

F3 - increase throttle

F4 - next detent

That covers most aircraft. With non-Inibuilds aeroplanes F1 usually idles the throttle whilst F4 gives you max.

What’s weird, is that in my version of FS2024, F2 does activate the reverse in the B737 and most other aircraft. After trying out the suggestion from @OliveAmoeba3772, when looking at the A321neo throttle quadrant, once cycling through with the previous/next detents, I can then activate reverse with the standard F2 “decrease throttle” command. I’m using the Legacy cockpit interaction system if that’s of any help.

I honestly had no idea there were separate options for detents now, so this is very cool. I set [NUM -] to “previous detent” and [NUM +] to “next detent” to try it out, and this works. Thank you for suggesting it.

So not a bug right ?, if agree could you mark one of the above posts as the solution ?

Yeah, not a bug. I marked the solution. Thanks for the help.
