It could be one of the following:-
Setting are too high (you haven’t listed your specs so hard to know)
Power - make sure the advanced settings on your Windows power scheme do not have power saving enabled for USB devices.
If you are using OneDrive, Pause it while you are using the sim.
Nvidia (if you’re using an Nvidia card) drivers can be terrible. Try doing a full clean install and only select the graphics driver (not Physx or Geforce Experience)
