Brief description of the issue:

VNAV descent dives at high descent rate. I set the altitude to the faf altitude. I may have done so just after the TOD. The plane descended at up to 5000 fpm going well below the VNAV path computed in thr FMC. I switched to V/s to manage

I believe this is known by the Working Title team, who are tweaking it. It seems like the AP is delayed in catching the VNAV path at first and then dives to catch up, so that initial response will probably need to be fixed.

Yes, this is fixed internally and will be on a later build.

Sometimes I get “VNAV Spd” instead of “VNAV Path” indicated in the PFD and the descent rate is 5800vspm, blows right past the vnav path indication. Is this related, or am I doing something wrong?

Fixed in AAU2
