Destination arrow wont turn off

I cant’t turn off the destination pointer when I have a flight plan active. I’ve turned it off under settings and also in the top menu when flying but the annoying thing refuses to disappear. The only solution is to turn off the destination which renders a flight plan useless.

I think this was first encountered after SU5.

Any ideas how to fix this?
