I have managed to add them to my googlemaps.
You can find it in the Maps section on the website ![]()
Could you possibly add them as Little Navmap userpoints as well?
I certainly will. I shall do it in an hour or so when I’m back at my PC. Any other suggestions are welcome.
It’s all done now! I’ve created a separate Little Navmap userpoint pack containing all 2,069 detailed small airports and airfields, so they can be searched, filtered and displayed independently from the normal airport database.
I uploaded it to Flightsim.to, but their AI moderation initially declined it because it mistakenly identified the CSV as an information-only list. I’ve clarified that it is a functional Little Navmap userpoint overlay and it is now awaiting manual approval.
In the meantime, it is already available to download directly from my website at https://www.fspghangar.com.
Thank you for the suggestion — it was a really good idea! ![]()
While we’re doing requests
and I don’t know if it’s possible but can you add a filter to this map? Most of my flights are GA however rarely do I land on grass and/or a runway length below 1500ft. If it’s to much work or simply can’t be done no problem because I like the (re)search for my next destination.
I use FSXmap.com for my planning however it’s getting a bit out of date but it’s also great for research.
I’ll look into this ![]()
And thanks to the author @JohnnyT5000 for bringing this to our attention. Hidden in plain sight I visited some of these airfields since the beginning of FS2024 and noticed the extra detail but they are more detailed than I thought. This weekend I already visited 3 more airfields which I normally would have flown past.
Yes, this should be possible. The airport data already includes runway surface and longest runway length, so I’m planning to add filters for paved/grass/mixed surfaces and minimum runway length. That should let you display only hard-surface airports with runways over 1,500 ft. Great suggestion! ![]()
It’s now live! ![]()
I’ve added dedicated Small Airfield filters to the PG Explorer, including runway surface options, minimum runway lengths of 1,500, 2,500, 4,000 and 6,000 ft, plus a one-click GA Paved · 1,500 ft+ preset.
That preset currently finds 811 suitable airfields.
Thanks again, @PlaneHolland, for the excellent suggestion — it’s a really useful addition! ![]()
Great and thanks, this makes it a very nice and handy tool for planning my next flights!
Thanks a lot, you’re really fast ![]()
I can’t take all the credit lol, had a bit of help from paid AI ![]()
