Detailed Tropical Islands in MSFS 2020?

Hi Folks,

I jumped into the Bora Bora Discovery Flight the other day and just totally fell in love with the highly detailed turquoise water, reefs and island all the while landing and taking off from the water in the Textron Aviation Cessna 172 Skyhawk. I want to find and fly to other island destinations where the photogrammetry has been done and provides you with the same exquisite turquoise blue water, reefs and island. Does anyone know where I might look here in the Forums or elsewhere online for these scenic destinations? Please let me know. Thanks in advance for any and all help provided. Cheers!

I dont know if your looking for payware or freeware.

But, regarding island places, you have a lot of beautiful islands over at Maldives and Seychelles.

I don’t know of any particular topic right now without searching but basically you can check out any western island to find something detailed

Asian islands are unfortunately not detailed because of the lack of data - anyway I’d suggest to check out the canaries as they got a pretty nice default mesh in place, especially la Gomera looks stunningly good! Other than that St. Barth is a place to check out, especially if you look for a challenging landing.

Hawaii is also good - the default mesh would benefit from some love but still you’ll get the right mood when flying above!

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I’m looking for places that are already available (free) in MSFS 2020. Do you know if the islands you mentioned are as highly detailed as Bora Bora is?

So we know there are not many areas that have water masks applied yet, but I do like to visit the ones that are already there. Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere with these locations? I always enjoy Saint Barts (TFFJ) to Grand case (TFFG) with the Sea Front Simulations vessels addon for the islands. Like to land around the yachts ‘delivering’ fine champagne, and taking passengers back to land, or dropping other ‘supplies’ to the large sail boats that won’t fit in the tiny port on St Barts.
