You can’t have dewpoint higher than temp because when they’re equal, you have 100% relative humidity. If the dewpoint was higher than the temp, then you’d have humidity greater than 100%, which can’t happen. When you have 100% and introduce more moisture, the only thing that happens is fog due to water vapor condensing in the air.
