Brief description of the issue:

In the PFD options of the Diamond DA62’s G1000 there’s an (selectable) option to change altitude units from FT/FPM to M/MPM (metric system). However, activating this has no effect on the PFD’s altitude display (neither altitude nor vertical speed).

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Go the PFD’s settings page, and choose “altitude units”. Choose “m / mpm”, click “ENT” and go back to the PFD’s primary display (pilot side). Altitude/vertical speed is still displayed in feet/feet per minute.

Yes.

The “system setup” page on the MFD does have the option to change units, but they are not reflected on the PFD. I can use the PFD softkey for “ALT units” to change to meters, and it is reflected on the PFD altitude display (both current and desired altitude). It does not appear to change the VSI units.
