Did the Smart Cam become a Dumb Cam?

I used it a lot months ago but it doesn’t seem to be working properly after SU9. Selecting the active arrival airport runway in the settings, the smart cam INSISTS on showing me anything random: A player, a city, something behind the aircraft minus the airport runway which is what I need.

It is SUPER NECESSARY on XBOX / XCloud in dangerous approaches with little space because the normal movement of the camera is very slow and it is horrible when you increase the sensitivity. When making a curve you have to look quickly between your instruments and the runway and the smart cam with the keybind mastered this role.

Unfortunately I don’t know what happens, I’ve done everything. She doesn’t show me what I want to see.

Yes, and it’s annoying. I can bind a button to next smartcam target, or next POI, but it’s still not smart.

Did you try a different setting, like End of Runway or a POI? And is it always happening or just some specific airports?

Has it ever worked properly?

Asking if it’s become dumb is insinuating that it was smart at some point prior. It wasn’t.

I think the current behavior is in fact the same it ever was: broken

I remember something like a “targetbox” (3d model) that is being looked at by the sim. That’s why I asked if i was always or sometimes… It could be some LOD problem where it’s just not in sight or something totaly different. Just bug report if it’s not working properly.
