Did you guys even betatest this thing?

This is just a general checklist for the MSFS team and some lamentation.

I mean this in the most sincerest way, how long was the betatest for this and how was it structured? At this point the game is 50% bugs, this is not a “least viable product” it is just a “least product”. Ok enough complaining, some pointers.

You should go over all the lessons and:

  1. Check the dialogue scripts for the lessons. One notable example is translational lift in helicopter lessons being called “transactional lift”.
  2. How the flight is structured according to underlying terrain and obstacles. Traffic patterns for aircraft are flown to the left UNLESS there is, oh I don’t know, a mountain in the way.
  3. Ensure that when you used a template that it is adapted to the specific lesson. For instance the RNAV and VOR lessons are most likely just copies of eachother but the RNAV lesson wasn’t properly edited. The HSI does not “get erratic readings” when reaching a GPS point since they don’t have a cone of confusion.

I have more but I feel you guys have enough on your hands already.

The beta test began on 19/11/24 and is ongoing, on the plus side, they have 5.5k testers per day. /s

The title of this topic brings the whole mishap called MSFS2024 to the point….

Seriously! Was there a even a beta test???
How many beta testers were there and according to what criteria and competence were they selected?

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template and/or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template, entering only one issue per Bug Report.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

Asobo would’ve gotten so much praise if they just launched with the BETA word at the end lol. at least let us know it s not finished then we manage our expectations and gladly report bugs.

Something seemingly so simple.

My suspicion is and it’s that project management bonuses were totally dependent on meeting the release date.

NO

That’s our job, that we pay Microsoft for the honor & pleasure of doing for FREE for them, as Customers. :stuck_out_tongue:

OR NOT in many cases it would seem ..
