Difference between Update and Sim Update

I was wondering, what is the difference between updates and sim updates?

World Updates are mostly scenery related. Sim Updates will be to the core functionality of the sim, such as avionics, aircraft performance, etc.

And there is another one as well.
ASOBO’s term “update” also means a press release type of event, where they discuss the current status of the sim, as well as future plans, what is in the upcoming patch, etc.
Thus, they are giving you an “update” on how things are progressing.

Thanks. I noticed sim update, world update and so on in the development update. I was wondering what those mean.
