What you do here is open the ATC Dialogue Window and use the appropriate radio message. Sometimes the canned Careers Goals automated step (i.e., hit Enter) has to do two or more things in sequence and it gets hung up. I notice when I hit enter and it does nothing, I immediately open the ATC Dialogue Window and do it manually.
i had the same thing happen and the only option in the ATC window was āRequest Taxi to Parking.ā this was prior to takeoff.
As you see above in my screenshot, the ATC screen gives me no option to reply at all
Yup Iāve had the same thing. Sometimes if you open the atc window from the menu at the top of the screen itāll give you the option to click a reply. Very annoying since their own system isnāt fully functional and we get dinged for it not working correctly.
Edit: to point out some other issues quite often when I hit enter for ācontact the next controllerā as itās doing itās initial call ie"_____ center pilatus 1234 flight level 250" as the audio for that is playing the audio for ATCās response is playing over it In a jumbled mess.
Sometimes it helps to go to the EFB and cycle through the frequencies for the airport. If you are lucky pressing ENTER at one of them will be recognized. Doesnāt work all the time unfortunately. Itās very sad that they donāt even recognize that you pressed ENTER even it would have been on the wrong frequency. However we end up on the wrong frequency when all we do is press ENTER at the prompts to switch frequencies is another story.
Sometimes you can still skip (ALT+N or whatever it is) and not get the penalty.
Overall, one of the more annoying bugs in career mode in my opinion.

Thatās unfortunate. I donāt even remember when I had the last CTD in MSFS. 2024 might be buggy as insert-favorite-comparison-here but itās been very stable for me.
I have had 3 CTDs in the last 60 minutes on MSFS 2024. Havenāt had a CTD in a while.
On the latest update (obviously). No new mods that Iāve installed.

The only time I dont CTD in FS2024 is when I dont play it, lol
Seriously. 50% of my flights CTD. And I am not exaggerating. One of each 2 flights end up CTD
I was plagued by random CTDāS for about a month. Check out reducing the number of active cores in your CPU and reducing your P-core ratio. On high end 13th and 14th gen CPUās this was an issue for some reason.
I reduced my active cores from 32 to 30 (i9-14900KF) and reduced my P-core ratio by 2 as well and my entire system is far more stable. Not a single CTD in 2 months, in any game or program.
Iāve also notice zero performance hit, Iām running a 4080 super and regularly Iām maxed out at my capped frame rate of 60fps at 1080p in any airplane with everything in ultra (havenāt flown the A350 yet, but heard its rough on frames)

Will take a look. Iāve rarely ever encountered any issues with my cpu or any over clock instability thankfully. So Iām leaning more towards a corrupt mod or file causing it.
However if I get additional ctds today, Iāll take a look at your suggestion.
Inibuilds just did another big update patch to the 350 and so far, so good.
Sometimes that works but on other occasions the atc window opens with no possibility to input anything. And then you get dinged
