Sure it does! AMD’s Smart Access Memory widens the bus for cpu/gpu transfers currently to improve performance. DirectStorage will big time off load the cpu for transfers to the gpu when available - perhaps that’s what you are thinking of.
I believe the gpu does all of the AI stuff and that’s why Nvidia’s stock has been going through the roof.
