Direction of the Sim

Just chiming in here: I could not spring for the Aero but even with just a Reverb G2, MSFS VR is absolutely breathtaking.

The other day I just took off from Sea-Tac and there were thick broken clouds all over at about 5000 feet or so. I slowly climbed through the layer and got this amazing interplay between zero visibility and zero sense of speed and then suddenly you hit a small open spot between the clouds and light pops at you, pieces of clouds race by you given you sense of speed back in an instant and you look down and see small chunks of ground pass by here and there, underneath all this layered cloud mess, and then you’re back fully in the soup and then the cycle repeats some more. The level of immersion is unbelievable.

And if that wasn’t enough, when I broke out on top of the whole cloud layer, sun gleaming bright you almost feel its heat on your face by your tricked brain, right there in front of me in the distance was Mount Rainier in all its glory, poking majestically through the clouds.

MSFS VR is absolutely worth the cost, if you can swing it. You need your PC to be able to do around 45 Hz steadily for that smooth, convincing VR immersion (assuming MR).
