Directions not consistent with headings in Pyrenees Excursion

In the third of four legs, the Navlog directions are saying ‘southwest’, but the heading is almost completely in the opposite direction.

Anyone else spotted this?

As usual, the route on the VFR disappeared after the first leg so I can’t verify using that.

Don’t want to waste hours getting lost on this one!

Perhaps retrying with POI visibility activated and watching if the in-sim POI is really towards the heading reported in the table ?

Do you mean these?

They’re greyed out, presumably because they can’t be changed at this stage (either once the leg has started or the bush trip has started).

Yes, I can’t remember if this has not been deactivated with an update at some point, or if there’s not any issue with it. At least we have to enable the DISPLAY DIRECTION TO CHOSEN POI, before starting a bush trip

OK thanks.

I used Google Maps to verify that the headings are correct, and the directions completely wrong!

Just notice the headings in the list, are only valid from the Flight Path they’ve defined internally, in any case !

When having more free personal time, I will check again and come to report here. It’s been a long time I’ve not performed any Bush Trip, just by lack of time. I really like these bush trips.

I just saw the wrong directions in leg 4 of 4.
NAVLOG says “West-southwest” or “Southwest” but the right direction is West-northwest and Northwest according to the map and the HEADING readings 323° and 354° in the NAVLOG.

It could be a misunderstanding. The West southwest and Southwest are only indications of locations related to other named locations, they are not intended in these case to “heading to” …

For the moment, I’ve flown half the way and not seen any inconsistency. Again, to also answer to the OP, N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW are only indications for locations, not the direction we should interpret as heading.

I will perform last two legs tomorrow.

What is said here, in similar words, is :

On Leg #02 POI15, starting from and currently at waypoint #01 AINSA, we have to follow course heading 342°, until we reach POI15, during 30.31 km and it will take 7’ 47" until leg end at POI15. Then come some explanation : “From Pico Posets (lets assume it’s at AINSA), turn towards a new location, which is at the southwest of the tiny hamlet of Plan and is set amid spectacular mountain scenery.” … Here it’s not said to turn to the southwest, but rather to the southwest of the described location, so still on the 342° course to reach this location, as we’ve already read in the POI15 line.

All of this requires indeed, a bit of practices and attention, to properly understand the requirement and set the aircraft accordingly on each leg. Perhaps not really obvious, however once we get it properly, each leg info will appear clearer.

[EDIT] :

Just an important point, it looks like the Flight Plan explanation differ a bit, as we read in the screenshot below, with last applied update, though this doesn’t change anything on the way we pick info in the NAVLOG
