Disabling the logbook after shutdown

I was told it was under assistance options, but can’t find it. Which sub-category is it in under assistance options? Does this option completely disable the logbook? I don’t mind that it logs the flights, just don’t want it popping up after every flight because I may immediately want to continue rather than having to press continue all the time.
Thanks.

I believe it’s under Assistance Options > User Experience > End Flight When Aircraft Shuts Down. That disables the pop up screen.

It will disable the logbook pop-up…kind of. You won’t see it, they probably just skipped over the code that displays it, but it has already written that flight to your logbook. So if you don’t take off again, and instead opt to end the flight, when you check your logbook you will see two new entries. The one with your actual flight, and a 0 length one that was created as the logbook was suppressed.

It works as if you have the logbook pop-up enabled, and you have pressed the Continue button rather than returning to the main menu.

I don’t use that feature so I don’t know whether the “0” length logbook entry is still created by this feature.

That double entry issue has been around long before they finally added the option to disable that stupid end of flight popup. The logbook has never worked right, but it’s not a big deal.

If you want a working logbook it would be better to just use a real one or an addon. I would trust them a lot more than the built in one. Heck, I lost all my flight hours during one of the updates, and I am not the only one, so I don’t put any faith in MSFS keeping track of that sort of thing.
