When I installed MSFS 2023 for the first time, I remember it asking if I wanted a composite compass rose to be displayed on my screen. I found it to be helpful displaying aircraft heading and VOR track to/from a navaid/airport. I now would like to disable it as it blocks other instruments used with non-microsoft aircraft. It sits up in the upper left corner. I’ve seached the options area but could not find any help. This dial is always present regardless of the aircraft flown. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you provide a screenshot?
And is it the Heads Up Display?
Assistance Options → User Experience → Instrument Heads Up Display
There is one for internal and external.
That looks like the HUD in the Assistance options.
Did you go into the Assistance menu and set it to Off? that looks like it is set to minimal.
Press ESC, go into Assistance Options, User Experience, Instrument Heads Up Display - Cockpit Cam
Set it to Off, press Apply.
Outstanding! I never thought to look in the Assistance Options. Thank you.
