I would be happy to not have the update and be on SU4
I would… I’d give anything for that right now
Bottom line is this . It’s been almost one year of these updates and I have to say , this for me a s the worse one I have experienced. My series s performance has been sadly to say better than my main rig . Too many issues going on here and I am running out of patience with the pc side of things . Updating, installing, etc. plus the peripherals like my honeycomb alpha and bravo as well as my tca Airbus kit is messed up .
If you go to windows mode in the simulator you will see the version number in the top left side.
Well thanks for the laughs guys…the passion for flight simulation is great but the comments while full of passion are really totally unhelpful.
All the new XBox players who will support MSFS which will ensure a steady series of patches and addons are the future. Yes there needs to be more differentiation for PC hardware capabilities which will hopefully be implemented shortly.
You as a new XBox user arrive here on the forums and read about Asobo “taming a dump on their users” (really?!?) and it’s not helpful.
Before we never had any patches or one or two, which still left memory leaks.
I’m grateful that there are patches and ongoing improvements.
Thanks! So I am on 1.17.3.0 - From what I see it says world update 5 but from June 21. Any idea why it isn’t proposing any update ? Mind you seeing how bad the udpate appears to be I’m not too eager…
X-Plane / Laminar Research should make a deal with Google.
That would be the best option for the PC users
The best option for pc users (at the moment) is to roll back the clock 48hrs
Hahahahahahaha
That was good
Bit dramatic … yes.
It gets a bit boring after a bit doesn’t it ?
Has anyone figured out how to use the knobs in the two A320’s. They do not pull out (down arrow) or push in (up arrow) like before this update. I’ve been experimenting with them and I can’t make them work.
I believe on the new mouse control system you have to hold the left button to “lock” to the knob and then press one of the other mouse buttons (middle or right) to actually press it. I have changed back to previous control scheme for now
The most important question is, was that only a bad decision from the development or was it all planned to transform this PC sim into a Xbox game. So the further development will focus on XBOX optimization? Maybe the small group of PC sim enthusiasts is not big enough.
This is fantasy and will clearly never happen. You might want it to happen but that doesn’t make it a reality.
Even if it did happen (which it won’t) do you really think that LR would actually listen to what their customers want and have a customer voting system like Asobo have in place? Or do you think that maybe they will just go in the direction they themselves prefer?
IMO update is a steaming pile of dung. No doubt downgraded clouds etc, noticed that right off the bat. No excuse for shafting us folks that run higher end systems in the name of xbox and sales. Total ■■■■. Shame on you Asobo and MS.
Google acquiring Xplane / Laminar is not that far fetched
Sim updated, no CTDs, FBW A320 giving 40fps over London, I am delighted with the update. Scenery pop in is barely noticeable and I switched controls to legacy so selecting knobs and controls works as before.
Very happy with the update.
what do you mean ?
I agree with you, but the’ll focus on PC players, mostly.
Not on PS or XB
Can’t see it myself. Not enough profit in just flight simming for Google and why compete with Microsoft and split the revenue even further. Doesn’t really make much financial sense for a profit motivated organisation like Google.
