Hello all. 30-year user, first-time poster. I cannot tell the difference between current scenery and when I install a mod. In particular Rome and Naples Italy airports. I know there are installed correctly. I am using Addon Linker. Any ideas?
You can check the content manager.
If you open the Community Folder in Windows Explorer, you should see all the add-ons that are loading.
Thank you! The files are there - I just don’t understand why the fidelity is the same.
MSFS Addon Linker creates symbolic links in the community folder that point back to the original location on disk. Try double clicking on the airport folder in the Community folder from Explorer. If the link is working, you should see the add-on files. My bet is you have a bad link and it doesn’t work.
Before trying to use the addon manager, try manually copying one of the airports to the community folder and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then your problem is how you are using add on linker. If it doesn’t, then the problem is with the addon itself and you most likely need to re-download it.
I guess I am not sure what to expect. I don’t have before and after screenshots, just going by memory.
I think I figured it out. The Naples Italy mod is much different than the standard scenery. Thanks for your help.
Also watch out that sometimes mods have a 2nd folder in them and then it won’t always work.
Once I was in “offline” mode by mistake, so the sim didn’t load the scenery I expected ![]()
Just saying that could be a reason as well ![]()
