Not sure where this topic belongs so please move it elsewhere if not in the right place.
After about 6 minutes of flying (where I do not touch any buttons, just throttle and yoke) suddenly everything starts disconnecting / reconnecting like crazy. You can see the radio panels etc. start flickering. Makes this unplayable. It was fine a few days ago.
Its hard to see the LED’s so you might want to make it fullscreen. Its more obvious when I change the time at thend of the video.
I thought it might be some external program using SimConnect trying to reconnect in an infinite loop, but ive uninstalled everything that uses SimConnect and the problem persists.
I then thought it might be something to with my tobii eye tracker but ive turned it off and uninstalled all the windows software for it.
Silly question (only because I can’t see the switch) do you have the alternator on? (batteries dying?). I know everything typically just “shuts off” when that occurs, not sure if anything has changed in the behavior with updates).
Have you installed any new add-ons or liveries lately?
Just did another quick flight, this time turned the yoke off and looked down so I can see the alternator and other dials. I found the starter switch was flicking between ‘start’ and ‘both’. The problem was that I have a honeycomb alpha yoke and I must have knocked the ignition switch into the start position one day and just not noticed. Turning the switch back to ‘both’ fixed the issue.
The Alpha should be spring loaded so that it doesnt stick in the start position, but I should have checked this.
Anyway, all good now. Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. Saved a lot of wasted time.
