Discussion: Patch 1.7.14.0 Update

That was the update. You’re fully up to date if you had a 300mb from the store, followed by 87kb in the sim.

This patch messed up the mouse sensibility (I can barely click on the buttons, FMC, everything!!!) for the 747… really annoying! Steam version.

Please fix it! And the 787 Dreamliner for the Standard version please, really unfair!

UPDATE: problem has been solved somehow, I think it was the laptop running too many things (Chrome was open with lots of tabs).

So this is the full update? I was expecting (I read?) around a 70-90Gb update? I may be done if this is correct which is good news but suprising?! How can I check?

Thanks

Super! Windowed mode shows 1.7.14.0 so looks good. I’d actually been running fairly smoothly on a from an external drive on a Razer laptop but it does run rather hot. Had quite a few crashes to desktop but I suspect this has been overheating. It’s been better since the weather cooled a bit! Currently on game pass for a month and almost ready to buy outright… probably the full pack. Do I uninstall and go for steam? Really don’t want to lose my progress

I think based on the average report from folks in the forum, if you got the download and the in-sim patch completed successfully, you’re up-to-date. I forget whether there was “The update is complete!” message after the in-sim patch was completed but as far as worrying about it, I guess everyone is free to do as they choose on that score. I’m not worried. Worked great for me before the update and even better afterwards. I have relatively little stuff, especially game-ready stuff, etc., installed on my only-a-few-months-old computer so the simplicity of my computer and sim setup may have something to do with the relatively trouble-free experience I’ve had.

I own the Steam Edition and no update to me:

In Content Manager I can See a CORE CONTENT MANDATORY PACKAGES BY ASOBO STUDIO with 80.74 GIB.

But the Checkbox is greyed out, I reinstalled and nothing, I restarted several times and nothing, what should I do to get this Patch?

Where can I see my actual version?

Hello I have been waiting a lot for this patch because I had problems with the bitdefender firewall that does not give me authorization and in order to play I must deactivate it! After installing the update from version 1.7.12 to 1.7.14, the firewall finally recognized the fs2020 with the address C: 0 \ flight simulator.exe! But since I was having problems with the game and that version 1.7.14 worked with the firewall activated, I decided to do a clean installation! I uninstalled it and the surprise that I found when I tried to reinstall it, the same problem appeared, it asked me for the disk to install the game!
So I thought it was just that I deactivated the firewall and installed the game well then I try to start the game with the firewall active and I have again the same problem that the firewall does not give me the authorization to fs2020 to connect to the internet!
What would be the conclusion?
it’s easy to answer! So when the patch was updated it worked correctly but when you install it from scratch the latest version has the same problem as the previous one, the firewall does not allow internet connection !!
the best thing would be to create a rule manually but the address C: 0 \ Flight Simulator.exe is impossible to create directly from the bitdefender antivirus !!

The easiest way is when you’re at the Welcome Screen with the World Map, Courchlevel, Flight Training, Activities, News/Welcome displayed, just click on your gamer tag in the upper right and your sim version will be displayed in the drop-down.

Another way to see the actual version is go to the sim Options, General. Change the display mode from Full-Screen to Windowed and Apply the change. The version you’re running shows up in the windowed titlebar of the sim then.

Why would you reinstall if you see you have all the core content there?

You have the latest update installed, I’m sure about that.
And version number you can check here…

I have a worse issue than that, I made a mistake installing add-ons and decided to do a clean install.

Followed the Uninstall steps, also did deleted any folder that seemed associated with MSFS.

Now I’m stuck in a loop at the beginning of the download phase, at the 787-10 files.

Flight from KPIT to KLOM. Flight landed and taxied to parking.
Simulation hung after plane shutdown for about 1 minute then
simulation crashed.

Easier way for the second option is to hit Ctrl+Enter when the flight is loaded to switch between full screen and windowed mode.

Shouldn’t that be Alt+Enter?

Your not the only one to lose there Bush trip

To check that the problem with the crash of the game is solved when the administrator is not registered in Latin, instead of installing a simple patch, I uninstalled the game (Steam) completely according to the developer’s recommendations and reinstalled it already patched. The game installed normally. There were no locks or freezes. I noticed that the main menu is also loading faster. BUT! All modes were loaded, except for the most important - free flight. After I have selected the departure airport, the “Fly” button does not work. It is pressed, but nothing happens. This is unacceptable! That is the problem with the ASCII-symbols has not been solved.

Is there any way to revert back to 1.7.12.0…continually CTD since fresh install. Not managed to get to a runway yet. Had no issues other than stuttering with prev version. seem to have gone backwards with this downgrade. back to p3d5 for now.

I’ve been getting past these loops by resetting my modem but it’s taking forever, I get about 5GB between reset looping events.

Since the patch MSFS crashed during flights. Before the patch I have not have any issue.

I already reset my modem, my router and I am always connected through ethernet. This is a problem with the servers and MS is really silent about it

When I left home this morning I was 59Gb in to my first update, having started at 6pm on Wed. That’s 38 hrs so far. (Haven’t even flown yet.) It is stable but very slow.
How can this be acceptable to MS and Asobo?
