Discussion: Patch 1.8.3.0 Update

CONTROLLER SENSITIVITY Menu BLANK

ASOBO & Microsoft.

Thank you for attempting a positive Patch, but clearly it should have been tested by a responsible group of users (Beta Testers) outside of Asobo & Microsoft, before being FORCED onto everyone. (ie Like FSX was  )

Lots to fix … and lots of useful feedback from the community.

Personally:
(a) I was able to update without any update issues.
(b) Then discovered all the issues with the update.
Ā© Uninstalled, re-booted & downloaded a fresh (updated) copy ?
(d) All went well, and sim runs. (obviously with all the issues being reported)

I appreciate it is going to be some time before most of these can be addressed, but for me, the Sim has become totally unusable (as a GA Pilot), because the Controller SENSITIVITY control has gone invisible.

PLEASE: consider a quick, single patch to fix this, or maybe more REALISTICALLY some instruction on what to edit manually in the configuration, to set those SENSITIVITY & DEAD ZONE parameters back to usable values.

Maybe someone in the Community has already figure this out, and can share, ?? :speak_no_evil:

YES !!! Please let us all know where to edit these Parameters !!!

no problem with the update process but now its crashing after 30s into a flight or so.

It’s in the flight_model.cfg file for each aircraft. You can adjusted the control effectivity.

These are in the Offical folder under each aircraft.

my a320 with no mods dont turn off any engines, flying with it for half hour now…started as cold and dark…

Just know that doing that was is directly modifying the aircraft, and those changes will get wiped out as new patches are released.

same for me, no problems at all.

o yeah and the weather and wind are accurate ,flying EU…

True, though I back up all my adjustments and original files anyway, or you can put it as a mod in the community folder.

Okay, that’s odd. So what’s the difference? Some users get it, some don’t. It briefly looked like the difference was users starting on the runway, or at a gate.

Either someone isn’t being honest about their use of modded aircraft, or something else is going on. All three cases can’t be right.

Exactly. Anyway a bad idea. I think they did it by intetion to get rid of all the complaints that the planes flying like bricks, just because a lot of user never heard before about sensitivity. Yes, automate all and everything. I don’t feel any change compared to my settings before, except that after landing the plane is not that nervous on the ground as before.

I have the same problem :frowning:
Is there any other solution than reinstalling everything?

one of lifes misteries,

Yes, Asobo, I’m currently downloading the patch and additional data, but it’s great to see this level of support and work that is being put in to this simulator! Thank you!

but i doubt the increased or better smoothness…seems to me the same…

And RTX support  (hopefully I get the 3080 ordered today)

Same error

fs-base-cgl-.0.1.30.fspatch.001 I let it run overnight, no progress…just keeps looping, been up to as far as 20% and then back to 0%.

Restarted the install about a dozen times, restarted the PC several times, no change.

Where should I find this file as some advise has been to delete it and let the installer start it over. I have looked all over my one store directory, no fspatch or fspackage files to be seen.

Any other ideas?

is the silly atc request for AI traffic to descend by 20 000 feet gone ? cant hear it anymore…

I followed the instructions to download Netlimiter and set your download (I did upload too) speed to 4MB/S. My update then installed over the next couple of hours while I was AFK.
