Set the following in the “# enables switching lods for debugging” section:

lod_override = True (Was “False”)
lod_override_with_lod = 6 (Was “2”)

Don’t change your settings in the Flight Simulator Grafic Settings Menu! Just leave it to your normal settings. You may try a higher or lower number, if you run into performance issues.

With this Workaround the textures on the ground look a lot better, even though they are still not as crisp as before the xBox Update and Hotfix.

If you want to experiment a little further, you can play with the following:

lines: 30-31

# enables switching lods for debugging
lod_override = false
lod_override_with_lod = 2

change lod_override = true and lod_override_with_lod = 10 and you’ll be using probably the highest lod building models from near to far away! It doesn’t seem to take much resources compared to the default (LOD based on distance) but your mileage may vary!

This is supposed to only override the BlackShark AI buildings LOD (the amount of details on the buildings) though?!

PS: it seems the highest building LOD level is 2.
