That looks very similar to what i experience too…
Maybe something to bear in mind when deciding on future purchases
TLOD I use HIGH for 60fps, ULTRA for 30fps… VRAM uses about 6Gb… CPU utilization about 40% and GPU utilization less than 100% (70-100), depends on the scene… DLSS at highest performance… on a 4K monitor the image is still good… in NVIDIA set 20% sharpening
I lost ~13fps in my test situation. I think I had lest stuttering though, despite the lower framerate.
I am genuinely concerned that as time goes on the sim performance will just continue to drop for me. I had high hopes for SU10, and so far it has not lived up to that. Maybe the GRD will make a difference, who knows? But all I see at the moment is me having to dial back my settings for every new SU to keep what I once had, which is not a good place to be in.
Only had a couple of flights so far (about 40mins in total so obviously not fully tested yet) but with the same settings on DX11 I seem to be getting about 5 fps less in SU10 than I was in SU9 using TAA setting.
When I switch to DLSS (quality), however, it boosts my fps by around 10. The visuals are not far off the TAA setting either but not quite as sharp.
Still assessing SU10 but so far I’m quite liking it. Subjectively my two brief flights seemed a bit more immersive and smoother somehow than before in SU9. Time will tell whether this proves the case in the longer term.
I’ve not tried DX12 yet (waiting for the new GR nvidia driver) or even the multi monitor feature (I have 3 screens) so there is still quite a bit of testing for me to be do.
Lots of tinkering ahead of me so looking forward to that.
Try the new studio driver. It works flawlessly with DX12.
Yes, thanks, I might do this if the GR driver takes a few days to land
PC user here. For me SU 10 is a smashing success so far. Overall performance increased, DLSS made a world of a difference on my RTX card, loading stutters around airports are almost gone and looking around with Track IR got much smoother.
The cherry on top is the synchronized gear status in multiplayer, you can actually see the gear retract and lower now.
Well done, Asobo!
Many monitors cannot do HDR !
My ASUS PB328Q can’t.

The HDR setting in Windows 11 is not applicable to me and many others.
So now with SU10 I get ‘black crush’ everywhere in the cockpit
Too bad, hope you get it figured out. I noticed some tint differences after SU10, am having to do an overlay to color correct them as they are different on my system from SU9.
An overlay is useless. Once the black is crushed, you can’t ‘un-crush’ it.
Hey guys. I saw that there is now an option for “replay” on the menu after the update, or was there before? How do you activate the instant replay on a flight?
You have to turn the feature on there and then there should be an the option to open it in the top bar whilst flying. It’s not a finished feature yet and takes a bit of getting used to, e.g. you have to click record before it’ll do anything. There are probably YouTube tutorials to show you how to use it.
Well I’m on a 3070 too. At 4K it onky renders at 2K… with max DLSS. This increases my FPS by about 20 percent.
That’s on DX11. DX12 isn’t working yet.
But my problem is that with LOD at 200 and PG scenery… I’m using all 8GB of Vram and the stutteration ensues … so I’m considering grabbing a 3080Ti to get 12GB (900 bucks) … and a 50 percent boost in raw power … and then selling my 3070 Auorus V2 … for a ‘whopping’ 300 bucks – after Fleabay take their cut… .
The Vram is crucial in MSFS, and more so, apparently, when DX12 is employed, as it needs even more Vram.
… I often have 8GB Vram use, but at just 60 percent ‘utilisation’ !
(Until I see 4000 series cards “in the flesh”, available to buy at sensible prices, incl a PSU upgrade no doubt, I’m not even thinking about them.)
“A bird in the hand…” and all that
Are you sure you’re not CPU limited? Stuttering is usually down to CPU mainthread limiting situations. What does your FPS counter in dev mode say?
Hi, I had this too. To deal with the rudder issue go into the control options, select on the left to show all controls rather than just the assigned ones, and rebind RT and LT (i’m on Xbox controller) from the “YAW” box to “rudder axis”. These should be in the primary control surfaces section. The enables the auto re-centering.
I also had to rebind the aileron controls in this section so that the axes were the correct way around. I had to do this in primary control surfaces and for my cockpit cameras.
actually dlss can do situation worst if system unbalanced. if cpu works without dlss about 100% load. and add dlss “benefit” it can push fps to limit cpu. or thread or core or whatever it is. i think some problems here just about that. people use dlss and that’s overpull cpu, and that’s give a stutters. gpu can works ok at 100%. but as soon as cpu overloaded. system just must go to stutters. in that situation people have to use fps limiter. whatever it will lock fps before cpu will overloaded. it will good
my experience with SU10… Despite W11, no new nvidia driver, and other complaints I read here… W11, i7 10900k, 2080ti, 32 ram, 2 TB ssd. DX 11, DLSS on… Flying in MSFS after the update is wonderful, 30fps all the time and stable for now, we’ll see how long it takes to get some CTD. That yes, the new Garmin is a positive step forward, but the colors are very dark and it looks very bad, that’s why I uninstalled it when it came out. Of course, the old bug in the RPM of the DA40 NG is still the same, it has not been solved, anyway… Good job Asobo, thank you very much!
Exactly this. DLSS probably using some CPU resources in already CPU limited situations. I’m locked at 30FPS/60Hz which generally keeps me out of CPU limited situations and I see DLSS reduce GPU load from 85% to 56%. Keep also in mind clouds/mist look fluffier in SU10 (set to Ultra anyway), the price is GPU performance, but probably also CPU performance. People need to get used to balancing their system (CPU/GPU loading) before trying new features out. It seems like an often misunderstood concept around here.
